We're thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new workshop: Spooky Detective! Putting this workshop together has been a real "boo-tiful" experience (get it? ), and we can't wait to share it with you.

The Challenge: Cracking the Code

Today, we want to delve into one of the fun (and sometimes tricky!) exercises our junior detectives will tackle during the Spooky Detective workshop held over Zoom.

In this part of the workshop, your young sleuths will face a spooky Morse code challenge. Not only will they need to decipher these mysterious beeps and knocks, but they'll also have to respond with their own message to advance to the next spooky puzzle!

Morse Code at Breakneck Speed!

Let's be honest, Morse code at full speed can be mind-blowing! Between the rapid fire dots and dashes, it takes serious focus and concentration to decipher the message. Plus, juggling separate audio tracks while running a workshop on Zoom adds another layer of complexity.

To conquer this challenge, we discovered a fantastic website: Morse Code Generator Website [Link to morsecode.world/international/translator.html]. This website is packed with cool tools and features, but the most helpful for us was the speed dial.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

By lowering the speed slider to 5, we were able to clearly hear each individual dot and dash. This made it much easier for our young detectives to decipher the spooky message. Once decoded, we could download the message to our computer and then airdrop it to our phones for even easier access.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

Now, we have incredible audio that we can decipher as a team! With all the tools and techniques at our disposal, our junior detectives are ready to crack the spooky Morse code and advance to the next exciting challenge in the Spooky Detective workshop! ️‍♀️✨
