Join clay enthusiast (and cat lover) Rachel Shubin from Piper + Pearl Co. to create earrings from clay! Rachel loves creating unique designs and is excited to share this craft with girls across the country. Fun fact: Rachel named her company, Piper + Pearl Co., after her two rescue cats!
Participants will gain crafting and critical thinking skills by designing unique earrings. Participants will also learn how to tinker to improve designs.
Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts can use this course to complete all steps of the Craft and Tinker badge. Particpants will to purchase clay supplies separately.
Younger participants will need the assistance of a caregiver to complete this course.
The following supplies are recommended (a list of links to recommended supplies is provided within the course): clay, shape cutters, earring posts/dangle earrings, handheld drill/toothpick, pliers, acrylic roller, blade, sandpaper, baking sheet, wax paper, and printer paper.
