It is important for young people to learn about the US government and democracy to foster informed, responsible, and engaged citizens who understand their rights and responsibilities within the democratic system.
During this self-paced, digital course, participants learn about local, state, and national government. Learners will complete art projects related to the branches of government, state capitals, and local government issues. Girl Scouts will craft letters to a local representative highlighting an issue within their community. Girl Scouts will submit projects within the course and receive feedback from the VicTreeFi team. Expect to utilize videos, fillable forms, markers, and paper during this course.
Junior Girl Scouts can use this course to earn the Junior Democracy badge!
